Christina and MatthewMr and Mrs
Christina and Matthew first started dating after meeting at university in 2007. After they finished uni the pair broke up, until an encounter at a mutual friend’s wedding saw them reunited.

After nearly four years together, Christina had been bugging Matthew to propose, saying even a Haribo ring would do. One night, after dinner, he got down on one knee and opened a packet of Haribo.

He took out the first gummy ring and said ‘Nah, too nice’ and ate it. He picked out a second and said ‘No, too yummy’ and ate that one too! The third ring he pulled out of the bag was a diamond engagement ring, and he asked Christina to marry him.

The couple were engaged for nine months before their fun and quirky wedding, which included plenty of games and cool super hero touches!
The Bridal PartyThe Bridal Party Dress
Dress shopping was a serious business for Christina. Accompanied by her mum, Matthew’s mum and three of her bridesmaids, they visited three dress shops and witnessed the bride try on over 100 dresses.

In each shop they visited there was a dress Christina loved, but it was the beautiful lace detailed gown she found in Glastonbury Weddings that took everyone’s breath away. The dress was customised to suit Christina, with the remodeled design of the gown named after her!

She had her old and new initials sewn into the hem of her wedding dress in blue thread, and had lace shoes to wear. Matthew also bought them both Converse in their wedding colours, embroidered with ‘bride’ and ‘groom’.

The four bridesmaids all wore knee-length dresses in chocolate brown, with subtly differing details.
The GroomsmenThe Groomsmen
Matthew and Christina hired their groomswear from Moss Bros. They had to hire suits for the groom, the best man, four ushers and the two fathers. They bought a tuxedo for the page boy from Monsoon.

The couple chose to hire from Moss Bros due to their great selection and reasonable prices. They went together to pick out the groomsmen’s suits, and chose classic black tail suits with ivory waistcoats. Matthew had a chocolate brown cravat, whilst the rest of the groom’s party had ivory ones.

To add a fun twist to their wedding look, the groomsmen all wore super hero themed t-shirts under their suits, and flashed them for an amazing photo opportunity!
The Wedding CeremonyThe Wedding Ceremony
Christina and Matthew’s wedding ceremony took place at Silchester House. The couple’s four year old god-daughter Madison scattered rose petals down the aisle, using a basket Christina had when she was a flower girl. Their page boy Briley followed, picking up the petals off the floor.

Christina walked down the aisle with her dad to one of her favourite classical pieces, ‘River Flows in You’. She carried a gorgeous bouquet of ivory roses with diamante details from Scentsations.

Matthew and Christina wrote their own vows, which made many of the guests emotional! Matthew’s personalised vows included a Dr. Who reference, and the sound effect of a Tardis landing in the ceremony room.

Close friends of the couple gave readings, and the bride and groom exchanged matching wedding bands bought from Smooch.
