Denise and SteveSteve and Denise’s
Romantic Beach Wedding

Denise first became aware of Steve when his sister, who worked for Denise in the Philippines, tried to set them up.

She was having none of it though, and it wasn’t until five years later when she had a catch up with his sister in London that they finally met. Steve’s sister told Denise he was back in Zurich (he is half-Swiss), and they decided to catch up in London after chatting on Facebook.

Steve worked with the authorities at Zurich airport to pull off the perfect proposal. As they waited for a flight, the display boards flashed a picture of the couple and read ‘Denise, will you marry me?’

Steve gave his bride-to-be a beautiful vintage style engagement ring from Monique Lhullier. The platinum ring had a gorgeous flower inspired setting and was unlike any ring Denise had seen before.

The next seven months were spent planning their dream wedding. They ended up being apart for five of those months as Steve worked in Zurich and Denise was in the Philippines planning their big day. They opted for a beach wedding but wanted it to be more elegant rather than boho.
The Beautiful Bride
The Beautiful Bride
Denise looked radiant on her wedding day in a timeless wedding dress from Pronovias.

The gown featured a flattering sweetheart neckline, lace applique details and mother-of-pearl sequins. She loved how elegant the gown looked and the fact it had detachable lace sleeves so she could totally transform her bridal look if she wanted to.

She tried on at least 30 dresses, but knew the Pronovias gown was the one. It was so light, which was a bonus as it meant she could dance the night away!

Denise paired her wedding dress with a lace headpiece designed by Rosalyn Lagdameo, a classic veil and her mother’s pearl earrings. She also had two pairs of wedding shoes – Melissa wedges for the beach ceremony and her YSL Tributes for the wedding reception.

The custom designed lace headpiece by Rosalyn Lagdameo was carefully positioned in Denise’s elegant wedding hairstyle.

Her cousin styled her hair for her, and together they chose a look that was very ‘Denise’. She had her tresses styled in loose waves, with part of her hair secured in a half-ponytail. It was a simple but stylish look which worked well with her traditional bridal gown.

Denise decided to do her own bridal makeup, to make sure she looked like herself as she walked down the aisle towards Steve.
Light Blue Groomswear

Steve looked smart on his wedding day in a light blue suit by Sidney Eculla. Denise asked the groom to pick out which shade of blue he liked, then showed him a picture of the suit in that shade.

He loved it just as much as she did so they arranged to have one tailor made to ensure the perfect fit. He wore it with an open necked white shirt, no tie, and a handmade boutonniere.

The rest of the groom’s party wore crisp white polo shirts with midnight blue trousers and matching boutonnieres with peach flowers.
